The Role

The role of Marketing Assistant is a junior role, and you will be joining an existing marketing team that has a huge breadth of experience. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and has excellent communication skills, to support the full mix of marketing plans and activities at Simpson Associates. 

The successful applicant will have a marketing qualification or be degree educated, either newly graduated or at the beginning of their marketing career. You will have excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work on projects autonomously, and as part of the wider sales and marketing team.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • To assist the marketing team in generating new leads and opportunities through a variety of marketing activities 
  • Collaborating with the wider Marketing team to assist work on multi-channel campaigns in line with the overall marketing plan. 
  • Assisting with the analysis of customer behaviour and marketing performance using HubSpot analytical tools 
  • Assisting with the monitoring of competitor activity  
  • Writing copy and producing content for use within the campaigns, to ensure we’re positioning the offerings for the right audience. 
  • Production of content such as blogs, white papers, emails, newsletters, infographics, social media posts, press releases. 
  • Setting up workflows and automation within HubSpot, including monitoring and analysing results 
  • Production of graphics for use on email templates/social media/website, plus working in conjunction with creative agency where necessary. 
  • Maintenance of content on company websites 
  • Creating landing pages/web pages using WordPress/HubSpot, personally and in conjunction with digital agency 
  • Liaising with the sales teams and other key stakeholders as relevant to assist with marketing campaigns 
  • Liaising with 3rd party agencies to support Marketing activities, including
  • Assistance with facilitating Simpsons attendance at events and exhibitions – virtual and in-person events 
  • Assisting with all elements related to attendance at an event - stand needs, branded items, lead generation activities 
  • Promoting Simpsons seminars, workshops or webinars through a number of channels 
  • Organising corporate events such as annual customer Race Day events  

 

Skills and Attributes Required

  • Some experience within a B2B marketing role would be advantageous 
  • Content writing skills 
  • Some experience in creating basic images/graphics, for example for Social media 
  • Some experience and knowledge of using social media channels to generate leads and customer engagement, using tools such as LinkedIn, Twitter
  • Marketing qualification or be degree educated. 
  • A passion for marketing and a strong interest in technology 
  • Excellent communication skills using telephone, email, social media, etc. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Self-motivated and results oriented 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Excellent organisational skills 
  • Team player, whilst also comfortable with working autonomously 
  • Willingness to travel 
  • Proficient in MS Office 
  • Fluent or bi-lingual in English 

 

Advantageous Qualifications and Skills 

  • Knowledge of an email marketing tool such as Hubspot 
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or the use of Canva 
  • Knowledge of Wordpress
