The Role
The Project Manager at Simpsons Associates is responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of client projects, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards, while maintaining a strong focus on commercial performance and client value. Project Managers play an important role in maintaining delivery discipline, supporting strong client relationships, and contributing to continuous improvement across the delivery function.
They work closely with delivery teams, Practice Leads, Sales, and clients to ensure clarity, alignment, and value throughout the client and project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Execution
Plan, manage, and lead projects in line with agreed scope, timelines, and budgets
Own and manage day-to-day delivery governance, including project plans, RAID logs, highlight reporting, and financial tracking
Ensure delivery adheres to Simpsons’ processes, governance standards, and ways of working
Coordinate delivery across internal teams and third-party contributors
Escalate risks, issues, and delivery challenges appropriately
Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of contact for delivery-related client communication
Build and maintain strong, trusted and long-term relationships with client stakeholders
Manage expectations around delivery progress, risks, and decisions through clear, transparent communication
Facilitate effective decision-making and escalation where required
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and governance forums as required
Commercial & Change Management
Monitor delivery health and commercial performance, including margin, effort, and change
Identify scope changes, risks to budget, and opportunities for controlled upsell or follow-on work arising during delivery
Support the definition, estimation, and governance of change requests
Work with Sales and Practice Leads to ensure smooth alignment from pre-sales to project closure and commercially viable delivery commitments
Resourcing & Cross-Project Coordination
Work closely with the Resourcing Manager to identify current and future resource requirements, proactively highlight capacity constraints and delivery risks
Collaborate with other Project Managers to negotiate, prioritise, and agree resource changes where required to support business and client priorities
Maintain visibility of upcoming delivery milestones to support effective planning
Continuous Improvement and Collaboration
Contribute to the consistent use of delivery practices, templates, and governance standards
Share lessons learned and support continuous improvement activities
Support adoption of new processes, tools, and governance models

Formal project management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, APM)
Experience working in agile, hybrid, or complex delivery environments
Background in consulting, professional services, or client-facing delivery
Familiarity with delivery governance, PMO, or operating model frameworks/transformation
Understanding of lead-to-cash or commercial delivery models
